The FSF Bargaining Team

Three Local 500 members from the Family Services Foundation (FSF) met for the first time on Wednesday, September 14, to talk about their new roles as part of the bargaining team responsible for negotiating the first contract with FSF.

Alpha Jalloh, Andrew Jallah, Zoe Kamara met with Local 500 staff to talk about worker priorities and bargaining strategies.

“I think things are going good so far,” Zoe said, adding that, “Whatever we do or say will reflect our passion for our jobs and our clients.”

During the organizing campaign, many workers spoke about the need to be treated with respect. Alpha emphasized that point when he explained, “We deserve to be treated fairly, with respect.”

Negotiating the first contract with an employer is almost always a difficult process, and the bargaining team has a tough job to do. But, as Andrew said, “Ok, so far.”
