The ballots for Supporting Service Employee of the Year will soon be going out to MCPS members, so make sure to check your mailbox!
SEIU Local 500 and the Montgomery County Business Roundtable for Education (MCBRE) have established the Supporting Services Employee of the Year Award to be presented to a supporting services employee who has made an outstanding contribution to MCPS.
This employee must exemplify the motto “Education Works Because We Do.”
The award will be presented at the “Champions for Children Gala.” The recipient will receive a $1,000 cash award. In addition, MCBRE will donate $1,000 to an MCPS school selected by the winner of the award.
Last year’s winner was Jerry Miller (see picture), a maintenance employee at Clarksburg High School.
