Today, Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and other Democratic Members of Congress released a women’s economic agenda:  “When Women Succeed, America Succeeds: An Economic Agenda for Women and Families” that hones in on three key principles essential to women’s economic success: Equal pay for equalwork, emphasis on the work-family balance, including paid sick leave, and greater investments in child care and early learning.

Members of Congress, including Congresswoman Donna Edwards (D-MD), a good friend and ally of Local 500, stood on the US Capitol steps by SEIU representatives and other supporting organizations (including SEIU) and others to announce this agenda.
