CSAAC Member Joseph Hallowell Named Secretary

We are pleased to announce that former SEIU Local 500 Vice President, Community Services Division, Joseph Hallowell has been named to the position of Secretary on the local’s Executive Board. 

Joseph has worked at CSAAC for 14 years and is a residential counselor.  He holds an Associate’s Degree from Montgomery College and a Bachelor’s Degree from Howard University where he trained to be a physician’s assistant.

Joseph, who helped win the union at CSAAC, encourages fellow community services members to “be proactive with the union,” as he puts it, including running for union office.  “It is the best way to influence policies and build a strong union.”
