Chris is an incumbent member of the Board of Education, representing Distrcit 4, with three children in MCPS. He serves on the Board Audit Committee and its Strategic Planning Committee. He is unopposed for re-election and therefore will not be on the ballot until November.

Previously, Chris was active in the MCCPTA as the Montgomery Blair Cluster Coordinator and Nominating Committee Chair. He has also served on the NAACP Parents’ Council. He was active in the development of the Down County Consortium as a member of the Down County Consortium Base Area Study Committee. In his community, Mr. Barclay has held leadership positions on the Takoma Foundation Board of Directors and the Takoma Park Department of Recreation Advisory Committee.
