MCPS Offers Permanent Employees Ways to Advance Their Education
MCPS offers many opportunities for permanent employees to advance their education. One pathway is through becoming a certified teacher for which several university partnerships have been established. The list below highlights some of the partnerships that are available.
Please contact Russ Fazio, Instructional Specialist, University Partnerships, Office of Organizational Development, through Outlook email or at 301-601-0300, for answers to any questions you might have.
* Please note that some of these partnerships begin every year, and some have cohorts
that move in two year cycles. *
* Acceptance into a partnership takes time. You should begin your investigation and application process at least one year before you plan to begin your coursework. *
MCPS employees are eligible to apply for tuition reimbursement up to half the price of the current cost of college credit as charged by the University of Maryland, College Park.
