Montgomery County's school system is the largest school system in Maryland and the 16th largest in the United States. It serves nearly 140,000 students and boasts a 90% graduation rate and a 70% Honors/AP participation.  Local 500 represents more than 9,000 supporting services staff employed by MCPS.

 Local 500 has teamed up with S. F. & C.
