Mitchell Tropin
I am Mitch Tropin and I am asking for your vote to serve as Treasurer of SEIU Local 500.
I will work to bring unity and collaboration to our Executive Board. I have the experience you can count on, having previously served as Treasurer of the Board and currently as our PAC Treasurer—always carrying out my duties with integrity and fidelity.
I want to be a voice for every member, ensuring transparency and accountability in how our union’s finances are managed.
As a longtime activist, I’ve testified multiple times in favor of education and child care funding because I believe deeply in fighting for working families.
I am committed to building a stronger, more inclusive union that reflects the values and priorities of all of us.
I’m running for Treasurer because SEIU Local 500 deserves leadership that reflects the strength of our members.
My commitments are simple:
• Unity — bringing people together, not apart.
• Transparency — financial accountability you can trust.
• Engagement — listening to and learning from members across our union.
• Fighting spirit — always standing up for our members and their families.
Your voice matters. Let’s build a stronger union, together!
I have a proven record of leadership and service. For over a decade, I’ve worked to build our union stronger, not tear it down.
